Equip yourself with the knowledge and expertise needed to master your DSLR or mirrorless camera. From unravelling the intricacies of different shooting modes to understanding lens perspective and essential camera features, you’ll gain the confidence to wield your equipment like a seasoned professional.
In this course, you will learn:
- Exposure Trinity
- Understanding various shooting modes on your DSLR/Mirrorless Camera
- Lens perspective and compression
- Camera features and functions, accessories & additional gears
- Shooting in different aperture to achieve different results
- Creating depth with zoom and prime lenses
- Mastering the DSLR/Mirrorless Camera and its functions and modes

Bernard Teo
Bernard is a practising photographer with over 23 years of experience capturing moments and creating stories. His passion for visual storytelling urged him to pursue a Masters of the Arts in Photojournalism and Documentary, graduating with a distinction from the prestigious University of the Arts London in 2016.
In 2023, he is appointed as a Canon EOS Master (Brand Ambassador) and he has been teaching photography to participants from all walks of life.

Is the course fee SkillsFuture claimable?
Yes, learners may choose to use SkillsFuture Credit to pay for the course fees. SkillsFuture Credits are only eligible for Singaporeans above 25 years old. You may check your balance here.
Will i need any experience to join this photography course?
This course is designed to be beginner-friendly. You do not need any pre-qualification in photography or photo editing. The only requirement is to have a smartphone with a camera.
How long is the workshop, and what is the schedule like?
Our Photography course is 2 days (16 hours) in duration and we have both weekday and weekend intakes available.
What if I don't have my own camera?
Not to worry! Canon Singapore will provide equipment for learners who do not have their own. We want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to fully participate and immerse themselves in the learning experience.
Can I bring my camera from another brand?
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to bring your camera from another brand. Our course is designed to accommodate photographers with various types of equipment, allowing you to learn and enhance your skills regardless of the brand of your camera.
